Donna's experiences of plant-based healing were formed early in childhood suffering from psoriasis from the age of eight when conventional treatment failed and her mother's targeted botanical blends using the power of coconut, lime and essential oils brought effective relief through daily application coupled with nutritional adjustments.

The holistic approach resulting in lasting improvement left an indelible impression to be reawakened and applied on herself years later with Donna facing and overcoming challenging health experiences due to fibroid complications - followed by intense periods of caring for her parents in succession addressing parkinsons and diabetic conditions using her amasssed knowledge in plant-based remedies and holistic lifestyle approaches.

'My personal experience of the transformational power of botanical extracts based on the cultural practices from my Jamaican heritage guided me through tangible experiences spanning the healing journeys within my family and in my circle of friends' Donna says, 'shaping and witnessing wellbeing progression from illness to stable, sustained wellness with a combination of natural supplements provided the rich basis of my formulary experience today.'

With a widespread background in formulating for wellness focusing on general dermatitis conditions, magnesium formulary and womens and menopause wellness Marva's unique approach to wellbeing design was shaped through many years of developing natural botanical remedies for evidence-based use in clinical practice and poignantly shaped in later years through near-fatal complications in perimenopause sharpening a focus on transdermal supplementation and drawing on herbal remedies handed down from Caribbean ancestry.

'The years working with clinical practitioners reinforced, for me personally, the irrevocable relevance of botanical extracts for wellness' Marva says 'and the sustained knowledge handed down through generations exists for a reason... it's as simple as - but goes far beyond 'lavender for your bedroom and honey and lime for your throat' each culture over millenia originally shaped their communities' wellness drawing on the healing foliage and elements that surrounded them and often it was the woman's nurturing roles in these communities from mother to sage or healer that provided a healing history that could be passed on. This is what we wanted to revive in the Balance Plus range using high potency botanicals from the West Indies aimed at widespread wellbeing for everyone.'
